    This course is designed for students exploring restoration as a potential career path and community members who care about salmon and want to know how restoration helps them thrive. People already in this field may also be interested in some of the specific techniques discussed.

  • What will the course cover?

    This course will cover land use and its effect on habitat, essential resources and reference documents and how to use them, habitat restoration techniques, case studies, useful terminology and more. Species covered include Chinook, Pink, Coho, Sockeye, Chum, Steelhead and Cutthroat.

  • How is the course formatted?

    This course is delivered through four self-directed, virtual lessons that take approximately 2.5 hours each to complete. You will have the opportunity to test your knowledge through a 15 question multiple-choice quiz at the conclusion of each lesson.
